Amendment to the Building Act
An extensive amendment to the Building Act will come into effect on January 1, 2018. The Amendment introduces in particular a new permit procedure - the so-called joint procedure, which enables to conduct both zoning and building procedures jointly in order to accelerate the entire process.

Rules of termination of photovoltaic power plant license
The photovoltaic power plant in Tuchlovice faced a complaint filed by the supreme prosecutor who had proposed the termination of its license. The motion for the license termination was satisfied by the Regional Court in Brno as it was ascertained that the power plant did not have a due audit report available, which would certify its safety.

A guide of the Attorney’s General office to the Act providing for criminal liability of legal entities
In connection with an amendment to the Act providing for criminal liability of legal entities and proceedings held against them (“ZTOPO“), the Attorney’s General office issued a guide for the application of Section 8 ss. 5 of the Act. With effect from December 1, 2016, the provision inserts into the regulation an institute of exemption of legal entity from criminal liability.
