New EU body concerning GDPR
In the context of GDPR, a new body, the European Data Protection Board, has been established within the EU. The EDPB is composed of representatives of the national data personal data protection authorities and the European Personal Data Protection Supervisor. The body replaces the WP29 task force which terminated its operations on May 25, 2018.
The EDPB is authorized to issue general instructions as to clarify the terms contained in the European personal data protection regulations and provide a unified interpretation of the rights and obligations of persons concerned.
