Pre-Covid amendment to the Insolvency Act

Although entrepreneurs may currently expect increased tolerance for their unfavorable economic situation, the pre-Covid amendment to the Insolvency Act should not be overlooked. According to the amendment, with effect from next year, insolvency trustees will have available a new action to be filed directly against statutory bodies (both registered and de facto) for damages caused by these persons, for example, by a belated filing of an insolvency petition. A summary of the impact of the amendment on statutory bodies can be found in an article published in the 11th issue of Ekonom, which was created with the contribution of our colleague Mgr. Peter Čermák, legal trainee in our law firm .
